Scuba diving: L'Estartit is one of Europe's leading scuba diving resorts, so there are many schools to choose from including Dive Shop Poseidon, Calypso Diving and Med Aqua Dive Shop. This one of the most enjoyable leisure activities in Estartit.
Golf courses: There are many great golf courses in Estartit. The closest are the Emporda Golf Course at Torroella de Montgri and Golf Serres de Pals in Pals. There is even a new 18 hole pitch and putt course at Torroella de Montgri.
Walking: From Estartit you can walk along the beach until the River Ter meets the sea and then take the footpath along the river to Torroella de Montgri. For the more adventurous, there is a cliff top walk from Estartit to L'Escala. Why not walk up to the Castell Montgri which gives spectacular views of the area? A steep climb from Torroella de Montgri.
Bike hire: There is a bike hire shop right next door to Cafe Barracuda.
Horse riding: There is a horse riding school in Estartit.
Waterparks: One of the most popular leisure activities in Estartit are the waterparks at Playa d'Aro and Roses.
Boat trips: You can take boat trips to the once pirate infested Medas Islands or longer trips to resorts in either direction. Try the Marina Princess boat trips or the Nautilus glass bottom boat!
